Born in 1895, Carrie Bradley was a Negro (Black) laborer and eventual homemaker from Mississippi. Her mother and father were both from Mississippi also. She married Dudley Bailey Sr. on Aug. 25, 1917 at the age of 22 (Marriage County: Widener, Saint Francis, Arkansas/FHL Film Number 1022684). Together they had 6 children. According to 1920 U.S. Federal Population Census, Carrie knew could read and write. It is possible that in 1920, at age of 26, Carrie worked at Atlingtore Hotel in Mississippi as a laborer while temporary living with her aunt Mollie Randolph. Carrie passed away while giving birth to her daughter, Lilly in 1930. Lilly also did not survive. She passed at age 35.
