Isaac Wills was born in Alabama on 1832. He never attended school and while he could not write, he could read. By 1870 he married Emily Bates and they had six kids while living at Beaver Township in Saline, Arkansas. Isaac was a farmer and his personal estate was valued at $150. In his 40’s, Isaac and the family relocated to McLennan, Texas. Their family continued to grow, together they had 13 children.
On the 1880 Census, Isaac (age 48) listed his father was from Africa and his mother from South Carolina.
He died on Oct. 19, 1889 at age 57 in Aquilla, Hill County, Texas.
